Pick Flowers - Sanderijn De Bruin

Hi everybody,

The last project of my design team membership has come. It is with great sadness that I have to leave this amazing design team...But new adventures have come my way, and I just need more time to follow them...

Jennifer Hedger, your warmth and believe in me are still making me humble, and I will treasure the gratefulness of being part of your amazing team. Thank you for everything.

I have created a layout to give you all some sweet and tender advise...Pick flowers, not fights, and stay wild and free. Forever.

Dusty Attic is the only chipboard company that really fits my style. High quality and such a great assortiment. The best chipboard brand for me! Definitely!

I have a step by step photo tutorial for you, how I created this layout.

Step 1. Brush a thin layer of clear gesso over the paper and let dry.

Step 2. Use heavy white gesso to add the pattern from the stencil.

Step 3. When the first layer is dry, add a second layer with Dusty in Colour acrylic paints and the snowflake patterned stencil.

Step 4. Stamp a grungy clear stamp pattern on the paper, using the same green paint.

Step 5. Paint all pieces of chipboard.

Step 6 + 7. Glue down the chipboard and some lace with 3d matte gel.

Step 8. Add your photo and flowers, die cuts, tags, etcera.

Step 9. Cover your photo and splatter some fluid acrylic white ink on the paper.
Add a little sparkle with sequins and loose glitter.

Dream - Nicole Doiron - December Challenge Inspiration

Hello Dusty FANattics!!!

Nicole here today to share with you a very fun and whimsical layout
based on the Dusty Attic December mood board challenge!

Here is the lovely December mood board.

I was so inspired by the board as I absolutely loved its colours and retro feel!

I used only black, white and different hues of teal/aquamarine blue
so I treated all my chipboard with a combination of dark charcoal Copic marker
and the lovely Oceania Dusty in Colour acrylic paint.

I fussy cut the photo of my friend's beautiful daughter and created
with an array of flowers and the gorgeous and intricate Floral Fantasy design.

On my background white cardstock and beautiful 13arts Vintage Moments paper,
I used the River Stones stencil (as seen above) and a mixed media stamp.

To go with the Floral Fantasy chipboard, I also used the Fantasy Flowers
and one of the Paisley #3 border. These pieces are absolute must haves!

I added a few Mini Dragonflies and then lightly misted the embellishments
with some Daily ART white Vintage Ink Spray.
Speaking of embellishments, the fabulous steampunk badges are from Cuts2luv!

I am very proud of how my page turned out and I find that it complements
the December mood board perfectly with a little 60's flower child look!

These are Treasured memories - Gerry Van Gent - Challenge Inspiration

Hello Crafty Friends!

Gerry's here today sharing with you my take on this month's moodboard.
I totally love the colours of the moodboard. I knew at once which photo
I want to scrap with these blues and greens. I added bold red touches to
give some Christmas feeling to my project.

PRODUCTS  I  USED:

˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜
I didn't doubt for a second to use all of the Flower Stamens chippies.
Aren't they simply fabulous! I painted them with gesso, then with
Dusty in Colour Oceania and finally I adhered an epoxy sticker in the centres.

The title was treated first with a layer of gesso. After that I distressed it
with both Dusty in Colour: "Oceania" and "Jungle Green".

The modelling paste was mixed with Dusty in Colour Jungle Green.

These are Treasured Memories - Farrel Tailor

Hi Everyone, I'm back today to share with you my interpretation of the Dusty Attic December Mood Board. These colours are just amazing and I decided to use these colours as the base of my layout.
mood board

And this is what I came up with...
cover
I started by using 7 Dots Studio Cotton Candy pp - Cloud Watching and white Cardstock as my base. Then mixed some white gesso with Distress Stain Peacock Feathers to create a light blue paint.

Using my fingers I applied the paint onto my paper and used a heat tool to dry. I then applied Nuvo Embellishment Mouse - Pacific Teal using a baby wipe in a swiping motion. I then put a small amount of white gesso onto the baby wipe to help blend the mouse.

I also used the same mousse around the edges of the my photo mount before adhering my photo.

Next I used Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Spray - Shabby Turbine Teal to create depth around the torn edges of my paper using a paint brush and some water.

I then added some texture by using TCW Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste and  Mini Tile Mania stencil.

Now for the chippy!!! I used Dusty Attic Geometric Border, Geometric Corners and cut them into smaller pieces so I could build a layer with them. I then painted them and the String Frames Small with Prima Acrylic Paint Sparks - Raven Black. Once dry I then adhered them onto my layout.

I then used my finger to apply a small amount of Prima Acrylic Sparks Paint - Mermaid Sparkle and Nuvo Embellishment Mousse - Pacific Teal to the geometric pieces.
20171204_152239
I also added some stamping using Stampers Anonymous stamps - Ultimate Grunge and Slight Alterations with Ranger Archival Ink - Watering Can.
20171204_152226
Then to finish it off I used These Are Treasured Moments chipboard and lightly covered with white gesso using a make up sponge and then blended Nuvo Embellishment Mousse - Pacific Teal around the edges. And adhered a tab from Mini Tabs #7 Black.
